Specify the font to apply to the text in the Font drop-down list. - Font Size
Specify the font height in points by entering a number or clicking the up/down buttons. - Text Style

Bold: Makes the text bold.
Italic: Makes the text italic.
- Direction of the text

Horizontal: Arranges the text horizontally.
Vertical: Arranges the text vertically.
- Text
Type in the text to be inserted into the document. To insert a line break, type <Ctrl + Enter>. - Align

Left: Aligns the text on the left side of the text box.
Center: Centers the text horizontally in the text box.
Right: Aligns the text on the right side of the text box.
Top: Aligns the text to the top of the text box.
Middle: Centers the text vertically in the text box.
Bottom: Aligns the text to the bottom of the text box.
- Width/Height
Specify the width and height of the text box. - Character Spacing
Specify the character spacing as a percentage increase over the normal spacing. - Font Stretch
Specify the ratio of the characters’ width to their height as a percentage of the normal ratio. - Line Spacing
Specify the spacing between lines as a percentage of the normal spacing.
If you click Apply, the text is inserted on the Canvas while the Text Area Box dialog box remains open. This lets you preview how the text will appear on the Canvas before closing the dialog box.
The preview at the bottom of the dialog box reflects changes to the font, font size, text style, character spacing, or font stretch properties. Other properties are not reflected in the preview.
