Selecting an anchor point
Selecting all anchor points
- Select the Direct Selection Tool on the Tool Palette.
- Click on the inside of the path object you want to move. Every anchor points on the path object is selected, displayed, and colored blue.
- Drag the mouse to move the path object to the desired position.
Selecting a specific anchor point
- Select the Direct Selection Tool on the Tool Palette.
- Place the mouse-pointer to the anchor point of the path object that you want to edit. The mouse-pointer turns into .
- Click on the anchor point when the mouse-pointer turns into . The target anchor point turns into a blue-colored square.
- You can modify the position of the selected anchor point.
- You can continue selecting other anchor points and modifying the their position.
You can select more than two anchor point by clicking on the anchor points while holding down the <Shift> key. When you click an anchor point that has already been selected while holding down the <shift> key, the selection is cancelled.
Select the Direct Selection Tool on the Tool Palette and drag and drop the mouse button over a certain part of the path object. All the anchor points included in the part are selected.
