Releasing a compound path
You may need to release a compound path to modify the objects grouped into the compound path.
- Select the Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Select a compound path on the Canvas.
- Select the [Modify > Compound Path > Release] menu command or click Release Compound Path
on the Object Toolbar.
- The compound path is released. The compound path will disappear and the original objects will appear in the list box at the Layers tab of the Layers window.
