Converting an object to a path
You can convert shape objects created with the Ellipse Tool, the Rectangle Tool, and the Rounded Rectangle Tool, to path objects. If you convert shape objects to path objects, you can insert texts along the path or transform the shape of the shape objects.
- Select the Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Select a shape object on the Canvas.
- Select the [Modify > Convert to path] menu command or press <Ctrl + Shift + O>.
- Select the Direct Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Anchor points appear along the contour of the path object.
