Reducing overlapping paths to their intersection


When each of two or more path objects overlaps every other, you can reduce the bottom-most path to the area where all the paths overlap (the intersection) while removing the other paths.

  1. Click Selection Tool Namo WebCanvas icon toolpalette select Reducing overlapping paths to their intersection on the Tool Palette.
  2. While holding down the <Shift> key, select the desired overlapping path objects.

  3. Select the [Modify > Combine Path > Intersect] menu command, or click the triangle on the Combine Path button on the Object Toolbar and select Intersect.
  4. The bottom-most selected path will be reduced to the area where all the original paths overlapped, and the other paths will be removed.
