Cutting a path


You can cut a path object using the Scissors Tool Namo WebCanvas icon toolpalette scissors Clipping a path.

  1. Select the Direct Selection Tool Namo WebCanvas icon toolpalette direct select Clipping a path on the Tool Palette.
  2. Select the object you want to cut. Anchor points appear on the path object.

  3. Click the Scissors Tool Namo WebCanvas icon toolpalette scissors Clipping a path on the Tool Palette.
  4. Click the mouse button on the point you want to cut. The clicked path is divided on the clicked part. In case of a closed path, you should cut at least two points to divide the path into two paths.

Namo WebCanvas reference Clipping a path You cannot divide bitmap images or vector images such as the circle, polygon, or rectangle. To cut these objects, you should first convert them to path objects by selecting the [Modify > Convert to Path] menu command.
