Adding an anchor point

You can modify the shape of the path objects by adding anchor points to the path.

Adding an anchor point

1. Select the Direct Selection Tool on the Tool Palette.
2. Select a path object on the Canvas to which you want to add an anchor point.
3. Select the Pen Tool or Add Anchor Point Tool on the Tool Palette.
4. Click any point on the path to which you want to add an anchor point.
   

5. To modify the position of the new anchor point, select the Direct Selection Tool on the Tool Palette. Click on the point and drag it to the desired position.
