Applying patterns to an object

You can apply the pattern you selected to the Fill or Stroke properties of an object.

Using the Tool Palette

1. Select the Selection Tool on the Tool Palette.
2. Select the object to which you want to apply pattern.
3. Press the Fill or Stroke button and select the pattern you want in the Pattern tab.

When the Swatches window is invisible, select the [Window > Swatches] menu command.

Using the Swatches window

1. Select the Selection Tool on the Tool Palette.
2. Select the object to which you want to apply pattern.
3. Click Apply to Fill or Apply to Stroke in the Swatches window.
4. Select the pattern you want in the Pattern tab. The selected pattern is applied to the selected object immediately.
