Color name

You can give any color a name. The name will appear next to the color if you select [Show As List] on the Color tab of the Swatches window.

User-defined colors

  • Color Spectrum
    Shows a variety of hues of a specific color chosen from the Color Bar with changes in Red, Green, Blue, Hue, Saturation, and Brightness values. You can select a color you want by clicking inside the Color Spectrum box or by dragging the cross-shaped mouse-pointer. The selected color is displayed in the New area of the Color Preview window.
  • Color Bar
    Shows various colors with changes in Red, Green, Blue, and Hue values in the form of a vertical slide bar. You can select a color you want by clicking the inside the Color Bar, or by scrolling the Color Slider vertically. As the Color Slider moves, the color displayed in the Color Spectrum box and the New area of the Color Preview window changes.
  • Hue, Saturation, Brightness
    Shows the Hue, Saturation, and Brightness value of the selected color. The values range from 0 to 255. You can enter these values directly to specify a color.
  • Red, Green, Blue
    Shows the RGB value of the selected color. You can specify the color by entering the RGB value.
  • Red, Green, Blue Color Slider Bar
    Shows the RGB value of the selected color in the form of a horizontal slide bar. You can specify the RGB value by scrolling each slider horizontally. As the slider moves, the color displayed changes in the Color Spectrum box, the Color Bar, Hue/Saturation/Brightness, and in the Color Preview window.
  • HTML
    Shows the RGB code of the selected color as a hexadecimal value. You can enter the RGB code directly to specify a color.
  • Name
    Shows the name of the color if it falls under the category the basic 16 Web Safe Colors.

Web Safe Colors Only

Select this check box to show only 216 Web Safe Colors in the Color Palette. Web Safe Colors are colors that are always displayed exactly the same way, regardless of differences in Web browsers or operating systems.

You can select a color from the current window using the Color dropper icon Namo WebCanvas icon color picker spoit Color Picker dialog box. Click the Color Dropper icon Namo WebCanvas icon color picker spoit Color Picker dialog box and click anywhere on the Canvas to select the color currently displayed.

Color preview

You can compare the selected color with the current color. The Color Preview boxes are displayed in the upper right area of the Color Picker dialog box.

  • Current
    Displays the original color. Located above.
  • New
    Shows the color you have selected in the Color Picker dialog box. Located below.
