Creating a button


You can easily create vector images used in Web documents with vector objects.

Step 1: Creating a new document

  1. Select the [File > New] menu command.
  2. In the New Document dialog box, type in ‘circle’ in the Name and specify the Width, Height, and Color and click OK.
  3. A Canvas opens and the ‘button [Sheet 1] – 100%. is displayed on its title bar.

Step 2: Creating a button

  2. Create a circle by dragging the mouse on the Canvas while holding down the <Shift> key.

  3. Press the Fill drop-down list on the Tool Palette and select the gradient you want from the Gradient tab.

  5. Drag down the top left of the circle to the right bottom to modify the gradient’s starting and ending points as below.

  6. Press the Stroke button on the Tool Palette and remove the stroke by pressing the None button Namo WebCanvas icon toolpalette erase properties Creating a button.

  7. Add a smaller circle inside the object using the same method as above and specify the gradient’s starting and ending points opposite from the bigger circle.

  8. A button as below is created.

Step 3: Typing in the text

  1. Select the Text Tool Namo WebCanvas icon toolpalette text Creating a button on the Tool Palette.
  2. In the Text dialog box, type in ‘A’ in the Text and specify the Font and its size and click OK.

  3. Press the Fill drop-down list on the Tool Palette and select the color you want from the Color tab. Select the same color as the darkest one in the gradient of the circle object.

  4. Select the [Effect > Bevel...] menu comnmand.
  5. In the Bevel dialog box, specify the Contour as ‘Circular,’ Width as ’1′ pixel and select the same color as the brightest one in the gradient of the circle object.

Step 4: Saving the Smart ClipArt

  1. Select the [File > Save] dialog box.
  2. In the Save As dialog box, specify the Filename as ‘button,’ Types of file as ‘TNG Files (*.tng) and click Save.
