Selecting an object
To transform or move the location of vector objects, paths, text, text paths, and bitmap files all of which constitute components of an image, you must select an object first.
- Select the Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Select an object on the Canvas.
- A bounding box appears around the selected object.

- Click on the outside of the bounding box of the object on the Canvas to cancel the selection.
Hold down the <Ctrl> key to temporarily use the Selection Tool while using other tools.
