Locking an object
You can lock an object you have finished editing to disable further editing.
- Click the empty square on the left side of the object you want to lock, in the layers list box, of the Layers tab, of the Layers window.
- A lock-shaped icon
appears to indicate that the object cannot be edited.
- The locked object is displayed on the Canvas but you cannot select or edit it.
- Click the check box again to unlock the object. The lock-shaped icon disappears and you can edit the object.
You can lock a layer as needed. If you lock a layer, all of the objects contained in that layer are locked as well.
