Rotating an object
You can rotate an object at any angle using the Rotate Tool on the Tool Palette.
Rotating an object directly
- Select the Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Select the object you want to rotate on the Canvas.
- Choose one of the following methods.

- Click the Rotate Tool
on the Tool Palette. When the mouse-pointer turns into a
, drag the
around the center point of
and rotate the selected object at the desired angle. Dragging the handle while holding down the <Shift> key changes the angle by 45 degrees.
- Select the [Modify > Transform > Rotate...] menu command. Specify the direction and angle by which the selected object should be rotated in the Rotate/Skew dialog box.
- Specify the
(Rotate) angle at the Transform tab of the Properties window. The object is rotated at the specified angle in the clockwise direction.
- Click the Rotate Tool
Rotating an object at a specific angle
- Select the Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Select the object you want to rotate on the Canvas.
- Specify the angle using the [Modify > Transform] menu command.

- To rotate the object by 90 degrees, select the [Modify > Transform > Rotate 90 CW] menu command or press <Ctrl + 9>.
- To rotate the object by 180 degrees, select the [Modify > Transform > Rotate 180] menu command or press <Ctrl + 8>.
- To rotate the object by 270 degrees, select the [Modify > Transform > Rotate 270 CCW] menu command or press <Ctrl + 7>.
