Creating an arc
You can draw an arc quickly and easily using the Arc Tool on the Tool Palette. By simply dragging the mouse or setting the values in the Arc dialog box, you can create the arc.
Drawing an arc by dragging the mouse
- Select the Arc Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Click where you want the arc to begin and drag to where you want the arc to end.
After drawing an arc, you can change its curvature using the Direct Selection Tool.
Drawing an arc by specifying properties
- Select the Arc Tool on the Tool Palette.
- (Optional) On the Paint tab of the Properties dialog box, specify the color for Fill and Stroke, and in the Stroke tab, specify the Width (thickness) of the arc.
- Click on the point on the Canvas where you want the arc to start.
- In the Arc dialog box, enter values for Start Position, End Position, and Slope; and select the Base Axis of the arc.
- Click OK.
