Creating a rounded rectangle
You can create a rectangle with rounded corners using the Rounded Rectangle Tool on the Tool Palette.
Using the mouse drag and drop method
- Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool  on the  Tool Palette. on the  Tool Palette.
- Specify the arc of the corners in Arc Size X and Arc Size Y in the Tool Options. As you increase the values in Arc Size X and Arc Size Y, the corners become more rounded.
   
- Place the cursor on the part of the Canvas where the top-left position of the rounded rectangle is to be. Drag and drop the mouse to make a rounded rectangle of a desired size. To equate the width and height of the rounded rectangle, drag the rectangle while holding down the <Shift> key.
   
 In case you do not want to create a rounded rectangle as a path, deselect Create as Path in the Tool Options.

Using the Rounded Circle Dialog box
- Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool  on the Tool Palette. on the Tool Palette.
- Click on the part of the Canvas where to insert a rounded rectangle.
- In the Rectangle dialog box, specify the position of the top-left corner and size of the rectangle in Left/Top and Width/Height.
- Click OK. A new rounded rectangle is created.
 To modify the properties in the Rectangle dialog box, click the inserted shape object, or select the Selection Tool
