Importing Illustrator files

You can import and edit Illustrator files created with Adobe Illustrator.

  1. Open a document to import an Illustrator file.
  2. Select the [File > Import...] menu command.
  3. In the Import dialog box, specify the file format as Illustrator Files (*.ai). Select the file image you want to import from the list box and click OK.
  4. The selected Illustrator file is then inserted into the Canvas. The information about each object constituting the file is displayed in the Layers tab of the Layers window.
