What is Object?


An object refers the minimum element that is used to construct an image. More than 1 sheet constitutes one image, more than 1 layer constitutes one sheet, and more than 1 object or group constitutes 1 layer. More than 1 object constitutes a group, and objects include groups, layers, and sheets in a broad sense. The types of objects are as follows.

Basic shapes

You can insert frequently used basic shapes such as circles and rectangles. You can specify the size and type of basic shapes and you can also create basic shapes as path objects by selecting Create as Path in the Tool Options.

Texts and text paths

You can insert texts as text objects and text path objects. Text objects are inserted in the form of straight line. You can specify the font and font size and insert texts horizontally or vertically. To insert texts in the form of curved line form, use text path. To create a text path object, you should create a path object first.

Paths

Path objects refer to straight or curved lines connected with multiple anchor points. You can create a path object by drawing curved lines you want. The position and direction of the anchor point decides the shape of a path.

Bitmap images

You can open or import bitmap files (*.bmp, *.jpg; *.jpeg, gif, *.png) to use as images. You can transform or edit bitmap files but you cannot apply Fill and Stroke properties to bitmaps, an application which is unique to vector images.
