Using a Grid

You can tell Namo WebCanvas to display a grid of thin lines “over” the Canvas. This grid can help you accurately position, resize, and align objects. The grid is not actually part of the document, so it does not appear when you save or export the document.

Showing or hiding the grid

To show or hide the grid, select the [View > Show Grid] menu command.

Specifying the grid position

You can have the grid display either in front of or behind the objects on the Canvas. To select the position, right-click the Canvas while no object is selected and choose either Grid In Front or Grid Behind from the pop-up menu.

Making objects snap to gridlines

To make aligning objects easier, you can have objects “snap” to gridlines as you drag them, much as metallic objects snap to magnets. To make objects snap to gridlines, use the [View > Snap to Grid/Guide] menu command.

Changing grid color, spacing, or style

You can change the color, spacing, and/or line style of the grid using the [View > Grid/Guide Settings...] menu command. In the Guides/Grid dialog box, specify these settings as desired.
