Symbol

You can register a frequently-used object as a Symbol. You can insert a Symbol by simply dragging it to the document. When you insert a Symbol, not all the properties of the object but the only Symbol that the object is linked to is inserted, thus saving disk space and download time.

Symbols tab

The Symbols tab displays the Symbols you have created. To add an object as a Symbol, drag it from the document to the Symbols tab. To insert a Symbol into the current document, simply drag it from the Symbols tab to the desired location.

Add Symbol

Adds the selected object to the Symbol list.

Remove Symbol

Removes the selected Symbol from the list.

Remove Unused Symbol

Removes Symbols that are not used in the current document.

Replace Symbol

Replaces the selected instance of a Symbol in the document with the selected Symbol in the list.

Select Same Instance

Selects Symbols in the document that are instances of the selected Symbol in the list.

Break link to Symbol

Converts the selected Symbol instance in the document to an ordinary object.
