Distributing the space between objects
You can distribute the space between selected objects, and justify these objects using each of the four sides of the canvas, as the basis for the selected objects spatial orientation.
Distributing the spacing between objects
- Select the Selection Tool
on the Tool Palette.
- Select two or more objects on the Canvas or from the layers list by holding the <Shift> key down while selecting the objects.
- Select the [Modify > Distribute] menu command or click the appropriate command button on the Object Toolbar. You can distribute the spacing between the selected objects using either the leftmost or rightmost objects as the criterion.

- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the left side of the leftmost selected objects, click Distribute Left
on the Object Toolbar. or select the [Modify > Distribute > Left] menu command.
- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the horizontal center of the selected objects, click Distribute Center
on the Object Toolbar, or select the [Modify > Distribute > Center] menu command.
- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the right side of the rightmost selected objects, click Distribute Right
on the Object Toolbar, or select the [Modify > Distribute > Right] menu command.
- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the top side of the highest selectedobjects, click Distribute Top
on the Object Toolbar, or select the [Modify > Distribute > Top] menu command.
- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the vertical middle of the selected objects, click Distribute Middle
on the Object Toolbar, or select the [Modify > Distribute > Middle] menu command.
- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the bottom of the selected objects, click Distribute Bottom
on the Object Toolbar, or select the [Modify > Distribute > Bottom] menu command.
- To distribute the spacing between objects in terms of the left side of the leftmost selected objects, click Distribute Left
Adjusting the spacing between multiple objects
Adjusting the spacing between multiple objects. Objects on at both ends serve as the criterion.
- Select the Selection Tool on the Tool Palette.
- Select two or more objects by holding the <Shift> key down while selecting the objects.
- Select the [Modify > Distribute] menu command or click the appropriate command button on the Object Toolbar.

- To equalize the horizontal spacing between objects, click Space Across
on the Object Toolbar. You can also select the [Modify > Distribute > Space Across] menu command.
- To equalize the vertical spacing between layers, click Space Down
on the Object Toolbar. You can also select the [Modify > Distribute > Space Down] menu command.
- To equalize the horizontal spacing between objects, click Space Across
